Five Things to Do on Saturday Morning in Sarasota Florida

There's lots to do on a Saturday morning in Sarasota, and here are five favorite things to do that are either free of very inexpensive.

Morton's Gourmet Market

About 7:30 am, Snuffy Smith and I headed out this morning to meet a fellow realtor, Sandy Whitehead for a cup of coffee.  Totally cost of my coffee at Morton's Gourmet Market on Osprey in Southside Village was under $2.00.  Snuffy's three sweet potatoe bisquits were pennies from Paradise Publix just down the street.  I gazed at the tempting veggies but didn't get any as I'm dining out this evening.  The bakery sign was also tempting.  Morton's has amazing delicacies from homemade tarts to mouth-watering crousants.  Snuffy met and greeted some other four legged friends while we sipped our java.

Downtown Sarasota Bayfront

Visit the downtown Sarasota Bayfront on a Saturday too.  Walk over to Dolphin Fountain and gaze at the boats in the marina.  Your four legged buddies are very welcome at the Bayfront Park and the walk is totally free.

Marie Selby Gardens

Just down the street from the Bayfront, you can visit Selby Gardens.  Visit the beautiful banyan trees and see exotic orchids.  You can see what plants are best for your "perfect yard" in Sarasota.

Downtown Farmer's Market

Maybe you'd like to go to the downtown Sarasota Farmer's Market.  Every Saturday morning, you can stroll through the market, visit with friends and sip delicious coffee.  Check out the veggies, fruits and homebaked goods here too.  Everything is reasonable.  Shop for your flowers and lift your spirits for the entire week ahead.  You'll find an assortment of wonderful plants and orchids too!

Walk Siesta Key Beach

Take a drive out to Siesta Key Beach and walk on the gorgeous white sand.  The sand is cool to the touch and this is free too.  Stroll into Siesta Key Village and window shop for free!  There are surf shops where you can buy an assortment of flip flops to get you through the rest of the summer here in Sarasota.  By all means stay for sunset or buy a Siesta Key home and stay forever.

Enjoy every aspect of the Sarasota lifestyle -- it's Paradise!
